Artemisinine is een natuurlijke stof die gebruikt wordt in de traditionele geneeskunst

Artemisinin is een kwalitatief hoogwaardig voedingssupplement. Dit natuurlijke product bestaat hoofdzakelijk uit artemisinine, een stof waarvan de ontdekking werd bekroond met de Nobelprijs voor de Geneeskunde.

Artemisinine wordt gewonnen uit de plant Artemisia annua, oftewel zoete alsem, een grasachtige plant die al eeuwenlang wordt gebruikt in de traditionele Chinese geneeskunst.

Zoete alsem en artemisinine: wat zijn het?

Een essentiële plant uit de Aziatische apothekersboeken

Zoete alsem, oftewel Artemisia annua in het Latijns en qing hao in het Chinees, is een gladde, zeer aromatische plant die behoort tot de familie van de Asteraceae. De van oorsprong Aziatische plant (die zich later ook verspreidde in Europa en Afrika) is al meer dan 2000 jaar een belangrijk basisbestanddeel in de Chinese kruidenleer. Men gebruikte het traditioneel in de vorm van een afkooksel.

Ontdekking artemisinine bekroond met de Nobelprijs

Maart 1972: de Chinese professor Tu Youyou, geïnspireerd door de traditionele geneeskunst van de Volksrepubliek, richtte zich op de eigenschappen van Artemisia annua en het lukte haar een interessante stof uit de plant te isoleren: artemisinine. (1-3) Dankzij deze ontdekking ontving mevrouw Tu Youyou in 2015 de Nobelprijs voor de Geneeskunde.

Hoe ziet artemisinine, een sesquiterpeenlacton, eruit?

We nemen de kenmerken van artemisinine onder de loep. Artemisinine is eigenlijk een sesquiterpeenlacton die beschikt over een functionele groep met twee zuurstofatomen. Beide atomen zijn met elkaar verbonden middels een peroxidebrug. (4-13)

Wat zijn de bestanddelen van het voedingssupplement Artemisinin?

De samenstelling van het voedingssupplement Artemisinin bestaat uitsluitend uit natuurlijke ingrediënten.

Het hoofdbestanddeel, artemisinine, wordtgewonnen uit de bovengrondse delen van de Artemisia annua. Deze plant, ook wel zoete alsem of zomeralsem genoemd werd niet alleen regelmatig gebruikt in de traditionele Chinese geneeskunst, maar werd ook in Europa zeer gewaardeerd. Men kende het al in de oudheid. Het product dat wij u bieden bevat een extract van artemisinine gestandaardiseerd op 98% (14-26).

Deze stof is aangevuld en gestabiliseerd met een drager van Arabische gom (sap dat afgescheiden wordt door de Afrikaanse boom Acacia senegalensis) en wit rijstmeel.

Hoe gebruikt u het supplement Artemisinin?

We adviseren u twee capsules per dag te slikken.

Let op: vergeet niet dat het belangrijk is om advies in te winnen bij uw arts voordat u begint met een kuur van een voedingssupplement. Volg geen kuur met artemisinine tijdens de zwangerschap.

Tegelijkertijd raden we u ook aan, zoals u dat van SuperSmart inmiddels gewend bent, om:

• regelmatig fysiek actief te zijn;
• de kwaliteit van uw slaap te verbeteren;
• het stressniveau te verlagen;
